I had a funny feeling he was a Witness... and now I need help.
by noontide inim in a bit of a bind and im not quite sure what (if anything) i can do about it.
i was recently hired as a business consultant for a rather large company.
the company that hired me mentioned that they are concerned about a certain department and the way its being run, as this department affects every other department in the company.

What surprising reactions have you experienced from family and friends?
by cultBgone inmusing over several rather eye-opening reactions i've recently experienced has made me wonder what others have been told that made them go...wow.. my earliest was a family member upset with me for not attending meetings who exclaimed, "but you're going to die at armageddon!
" i told them that wasn't true because the bible says that god is love and he doesn't work that way.
they were very angry with me!

Mine was the empathy and indifference from " elders shepperding the flock" . Wind forward 6 months and those same elders were like " who does he think he is? His not one of Us!" and the wolves were out to get me. surprised by the indifference from my true friends. You see there indifference was a positive indifference in that my leaving really didnt change things. Of course thats how i found out who my real friends were. And i think the fact that i can count those friends on one hand is more realistic than the superficial big worldwide brotherhood i once belived in.

Why not work with the employee ( the witness) to find solutions?

Do you have a newfound thirst for self-expression after leaving the religion?
by Apognophos ini'm not even out yet and sometimes i feel like expressing my opinions loudly, wearing t-shirts with messages on them (gasp!
), and getting up in people's faces when they annoy me.
sometimes the thought of a fistfight sounds appealing.

Apognopheos: interesting i am the reverse i feel like not expressing my opinions very loudley. In fact i am discovering you can learn more about yourself and obtain stronger friendships and better understanding of people by keeping my opinions on religon, politics as my private opinions.

I was a door-to-door magazine salesman...but I didnt know it!
by Londo111 inboth jws and former jws dont seem to remember that up until 1990, jws sold magazines, books, and brochures from door to door.
you went to either the magazine or the literature counter and bought publications that you were going to sell.
pioneers would get a slight discount.

Londo111 but its worse that that, our limited and valuable life was spent knocking " free of charge" on doors trying to distribute words i am now ashamed to have belived. We also gave the socierty free use of our cars, and even dipped in to our own pockets when we gave the literature away free.
Anyway whats important is we woke up and will never " awake" again.

Do You Believe That Jehovah's Witnesses Should Be Outlawed As They Are In Some Countries?
by minimus inor do you believe they have the right to practice their religion, as they do?.
-

I believe Jehovets Witnesses are a criminal organisation. But if all organisations that practice misrepresentatin of facts and lying were banned, that would include the governments doing the banning.

Racist comment from Jehovahs Witness!
by Seraphim23 ini work as a concierge for a building in central london.
recently we had a new window cleaner firm take over, as the old boy who had done the job for years, retired!.
i noticed that the new guy (with assistant) was a jw because i asked for his business card and noticed the blood card nestled tightly in the wallet card holder compartment, as he reached for a card.

Actually Oubliette i have found that often those from private and public schools consider themselfs better than those less well educated.
Anyway, as a witness to my SHAME i made negative comments on guy people...now i try to see all people as equal, understanding why people make predudice remarks.
